DESCRIPTION : Offers primary medical care to persons age 14 or over and family planning services for anyone age 12 or over. Treatment includes routine exams, care for non-emergency illnesses and injuries, treatment of urgent health problems.  Other services for women include breast and pelvic examinations, tubal ligations, laboratory examinations for sexually transmitted diseases, cancer, anemia and micro-organisms, and prescriptions for all accepted contraceptive methods. Also does premarital blood work, pregnancy counseling, pregnancy testing, abortions, colposcopy, cryosurgery, prenatal care and referrals to agencies for other services. Also offers education, medical evaluation and treatment for menopausal and pre-menopausal women.

Services for men include screening and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases including anonymous HIV testing and general health screening including testing for testicular cancer, contraceptive information and counseling, and information and referral for vasectomy and other medical services.

Offers an extensive family life education program for individuals, organizations, professionals and schools including presentations, materials, training and consultation. The Promotoras outreach program recruits and trains adult Latinas to be outreach workers in reproductive health and sexuality.

DESCRIPTION : Offers a range of medical services for teenagers in Daly City, Colma, Brisbane and Pacifica. Services include treatment for minor illness or injury, physical exams for sports, diagnostic tests (such as for pregnancy), treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, HIV testing, counseling, health education, vision and hearing screening.  Contraceptives are dispensed on-site. Parenting Your Teen and Teen Parent classes are both available. Mental health counseling is offered every day as well as vocational counseling, resume and interview preparation. Staff includes a physician two days per week, a nurse practitioner five days a week and peer counselors and educators every day. Counseling is also offered.

Project Play Mentoring Program is directed toward teens who are at risk for pregnancy and absentee fatherhood. Links responsible and caring adults with youth to help them with difficult life choices.

Other services are: ‘Elements for Success,’ a collaborative multi-school, dropout prevention program serving in-school, W.I.A. eligible youth age 14-19. The program includes educational support, employment readiness training and leadership development. ‘Q2′ is a chill space and support group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth. The group meets at the Health Center on Tuesdays from 4-5 pm.

Schools may refer students or students may self refer. Agencies and parents may call the center to refer teens and schedule appointments. Students may also call for an appointment. For medical services teens age 17 or under must have a parental consent form on file, except for confidential reproductive health appointments at the medical clinic.

DESCRIPTION : Provides diagnosis and treatment for adolescent patients as well as preventive and regular health maintenance.

Operates a teen clinic. Services include vision and hearing tests, gynecological care, contraception, sexuality counseling, venereal disease check-ups, pregnancy testing, weight and nutrition services, immunizations, stress control and psychiatric evaluations.
