DESCRIPTION : Provides a 14-bed, therapeutic community social learning model residential alcohol and drug recovery program for adolescents. Includes follow-up with the client after the residential aspect of the program is completed. Works closely with the families of the clients.

The 10-bed Women’s Program is designed specifically for adolescent females who have experienced a traumatic event, such as physical or sexual abuse, that has led them to self-destructive lifestyles. Residents of the women’s program participate in group therapy and attend school at the Daytop Village Redwood City site.

DESCRIPTION : Offers a continuum of community-based services for adults and youth that includes prevention and intervention services, structured treatment, transitional housing and long-term success.

The Neighborhood Recovery Center offers assessment and referral, daily 12-step meetings and pre-treatment groups. The Youth Drop-In Center is open Monday through Friday, 12 noon to 9 pm. The center provides recreation, tutoring four afternoons a week, a computer lab, employment information and service referrals in a safe environment for youth age 14-25.

The U-Turn Intervention Program is an early intervention program for youth at risk of falling into the cycle of addiction and incarceration. The six- to nine-month structured program promotes positive change and behavior modification and empowers young people to achieve their education and employment goals.

Community Justice Initiative advocates for alternative sentencing for drug-related offenses. Offers pre-release planning groups with adults and youth from the East Bayshore area about to be paroled and transition support services to increase successful re-entry into the community and to prevent recidivism.

First Offenders DUI program involves three months of weekly groups and education classes.

Outpatient and Residential Programs offer six- to nine-month intensive bilingual (English/Spanish) outpatient and residential treatment services based on a social model of 12-step recovery.Treatment programs incorporate family reunification, parenting and life skills classes, conflict resolution and employment readiness training.

Transitional Housing provides individuals in recovery with shared, low-cost housing for up to 18 months.

DESCRIPTION : The program provides alcohol/drug prevention education and therapeutic support services to children, parents and grandparents, whose lives are affected by the disease of addiction. The groups meet for one hour per week for ten weeks in the fall, winter and spring. Groups focus on the identification of feelings, defenses, communication skills, problem solving skills, staying safe and building self-esteem. Parent and Grandparent groups focus on developing strong and healthy parenting skills. In addition, an overnight summer camp is offered one week in July.

FEES : $350 per 10-week session ($125 for each additional child in the family). Sliding fee scale available on a case-by-case basis. No one is turned away for lack of funds.

DESCRIPTION : A long-term (12-18 months) residential treatment program for adolescents age 12-17 with severe behavior or substance abuse problems. Program activities are geared toward enhancing the mental, emotional and physical health of each adolescent. Boys and girls live in separate facilities and receive services separately. All residents participate in long-term individual psychotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, health education, vocational counseling, nutritional counseling, stress reduction and special groups on particular needs. Adolescents attend the in-house school. Clients with learning disabilities are taught by certified special education teachers. A non-public school is located on-site for seriously emotionally disturbed students.

A 90-day, intensive track program is also offered.

FEES : $4,992 per month or current Foster Care Rate. Usually paid by referring agency. Private insurance accepted
